The Oglala Cabin is back and better than before! A newly expanded 600 square foot back deck with a private hot tub faces to filtered mountain views. The kitchen is equipped with an espresso machine for those early mornings. A single car garage and a washer dryer have also been added to this cozy A-Frame cabin. Located in a quiet residential area on a double lot just off of Pioneer Trail, it is closer to accessing Sierra at Tahoe or Kirkwood ski areas, yet only 15 minutes to Heavenly. In summertime this means you can get on your mountain bike at the cabin and are just minutes from some great trails in the Meyers and Christmas Valley area. On a warm summer night you can look at the stars through the telescope. His and hers bikes, one sit-on-top kayak and one "sit in" kayak are provided for your enjoyment at the cabin. For the woodstove, the owner also provides FREE wood.This floor plan has the main living area on the entry level with a Queen bedroom and a hall bath. The steeper cabin styled steps lead to an open loft and are set with 2 Twin beds. This leads to the second private Queen bedroom with a view of the back yard deck. Back yard also features a hammock and a horse shoe pit. And unlike most homes in Tahoe, there is air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom. Hot water on demand is provided. There is also WIFI. This Internet service is a free benefit to our guests. There will be no refund due to internet outages or inability to connect.THE OWNER HAS ADVISED US THAT THIS IS NO LONGER A 'PET FRIENDLY' PROPERTY.

The hot tub was the best! When we arrived the driveway was shoveled out, which was really nice since there was snow 5 ft high everywhere else. Oglala is a really cozy place to stay. Kitchen provided everything we needed to cook. Lots of pillows and blankets provided. Very safe neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Definitely will be coming back to stay here.

I like a "Cabiny" cabin. You know, pine paneling, cozy loft, nice redwood deck with hot tub. The Oglala cabin had it all. Nice to have a garage with opener too. Only gripe? A bear stuck his head in the bedroom looking for a snack!

Our family has stayed at the cabin twice (Christmas and summer). Great location – relatively secluded and off of the Pioneer Trail that allows easy access to the proper South Tahoe area without having to deal with the heavy traffic along the main thoroughfare. Beds could be more comfortable and the place could have used some dusting. While only used briefly, the entertainment system in the cabin needs to be updated (not easy to use and old). The hot tub is great (except the lock which is a pain to open and close). The home has a washer and dryer which is handy (the garage is clean too). There are kayaks (which we didn’t use) and bicycles which we did which is an amenity we appreciated. The back deck is the best – sitting at night looking at the stars or during the day viewing the trees, mountains, and wildlife. Overall, the place is terrific and Sandy at the Accommodation Station was very polite and helpful. I recommend this cabin as a place to stay if looking for a “traditional” Tahoe “A” frame.
We'll rent there again!

My family of 4 was very comfortable in this cabin. The kitchen was well-stocked with tableware and cookware. Seems like a lot of thought went into the home, and the owner was very nice (my husband left his jacket behind, and the owner shipped it back to us for free). We came in the winter, but we'd love to come back in the summer to bbq on the spacious deck and use the hot tub.

Recently, myself, my boyfriend and two friends of ours stayed at the Oglala Cabin for 3 nights and everything was amazing. We had our own bedroom and our two friends shared the semi-separate upstairs bedrooms. There was a hot tub and gas grill on the enormous porch that we enjoyed. I even found a small igloo in the backyard which I played in for a few minutes : ) There was also a full kitchen with any cooking utensil one could possibly need. In short, Oglala is amazing and we cannot wait to come back!

My only recommendation to improve the cabin is to get more heating in the bedrooms. It had one big heater and a log fire at the front of the property which were great for heating the living area. It had two fan heaters for the bedrooms which really didn't do anything so we were very cold at night. Overall though, a great place to stay.
Our family had the best time. My six year old son truly had the best time of his life playing in the snow. The cabin was perfect for my wife, son and I. Oh yea! I cannot forget about our dog Rocco. He had an awesome stay as well.

Great stay! The place is about a ten min drive from the lake, so you need a car that can transport kayaks. Outdoor hot tub was a great perk! Very cute cabin, and great stay!!

The Oglala cabin is located 5 or 6 miles away from the lake and is on a quiet street. The furnishings make this cabin quaint and cozy. High rollers and party people, you'll be disappointed. This place is perfect for a quiet weekend in the woods. Hot tub is a nice touch on the back deck. Only downside for me was that I didn't get see any bear.

NICE place!!! I would like to see them put some railing around the top of the stairs though it's a little too open. The heated garage was a pleasant suprise, we could just jump in the car and go, no windows to scrape or defrost.

Over all we were very pleased to stay at Oglala. Cabin is cozy, woody, charming and clean. We had very relaxed weekend. It is situated 6 - 7 miles away from busy commercial area in a quiet neighborhood. It is far enough to feel like you are in the nature but close enough to get lunch or dinner at various cuisine. Jacuzzi is in the back patio and semi-private. The property is great for couples or family of 4 or less. Otherwise, you may feel bit crowded. It was perfect for us 2. Totally Romantic. Paid TV cables channels (i.e. HBO, Showtime, and ESPN) were not working. Kitchen stove did not have enough power to cook french fries. You have to wait for hot water for shower if multiple people are using shower consecutively. Wood for fire place was provided barely for one night. We had to buy more wood from the store to keep us warm on 2nd night. If you are music head, I would recommend to bring your own portable speakers which we did and we were very glad we did.

This is a very nice cabin, great deck. The neiborhood was also very nice. Only problem
was the bathroom, the shower was realy bad.

We spent a week in Lake Tahoe at the Oglala cabin. It was adorable. Adequate space for the 4 adults. The deck was the best part. A wonderful hot tub and grill made for relaxing evenings. Not too far off the beaten path and very close to the Desolation Wilderness and Echo Lake,where we hiked. If there was one thing I would change about the cabin it would be the sofas. One comfortable love seat and the recliner were good but the other love seat was very uncomfortalbe. Otherwise a great place. I wish we had had more time to enjoy the kayaks and bikes that were provided.If you play golf Edgewood is a must and Silver Oak in Carson City is fun.

This cabin is a little piece of heaven. It is precious and anything and everything you believe you may need is in it. Quiet and beautiful but only 10 minutes from town. Outstanding and will visit again,

Perfect ski cabin for a family of 4 to 6 persons. Small, charming, and snug. It it has everything you need, including a great deck with hottub. Only downside is no dishwasher.
